SLOG 3

My advice to someone just starting the course CSC104 would be simple. For designing a function, I would suggest going to class regularly so you can actually see the professor designing it and hear them explain all the instructions. This might help you think clearly and give you an understanding of how to start and the basic format of designing your own function. I would also recommend then going home and practising on your own as this will indent in your brain the process of how a function is designed. It would also help to ask your classmates about how they go about designing a function. It is always good to have a different perspective on new ideas. This can help your brain think of new ideas and might help you memorize the process better. Designing a function may be difficult at first but the more you practise, the more you will get the hang of it and eventually find it easier and fun to do!                 Preparing for this course might not be the hardest thin

So far, preparing for the quizzes and the test hasn’t been very challenging. I have been paying a good amount of attention during lectures and then going home to try out the new things that were taught myself on DrRacket. Also, I have been thoroughly going through the weekly exercises that are posted to keep myself in practise and to make sure I know all the key concepts required for the quizzes/test. As of yet, all these practises have been helping me perform well on the evaluations.             I have tried to make a couple of interesting images using the concepts taught in the lectures. I tried to make an image by overlaying a bunch of ellipses which looked extremely satisfying and I was very proud of it. I also tried to make an illusion type image by scaling a picture into different sizes and then overlaying them.             Initially when I first saw Booleans and functions like ‘cond’, I was pretty intimidated by them. For Booleans, it seemed difficult to mem

I decided to choose CSC104 because I wanted to introduce myself to the world of Computer Sciences. In high school, I saw my friends take the course but I was too scared to find it hard so I always hesitated. Coming into university, I was willing to try out new and challenging things so I decided that an introductory course to Computer Sciences would be a great fit for me since I was always interested in programing. From this course, I hope to get a better understanding of how softwares work and how you can write codes to do all kinds of cool stuff!           At the very beginning, I was very sure that programming was going to be very difficult since I was never a science student. I thought I wouldn’t understand what to do and wouldn’t know my way around certain things that everyone else would be familiar with. However as the course is progressing and I’m learning more and more, I feel that this course is very suitable for people like me, who have never done programming
